In diagnostic imaging, various “modalities” like X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound are used to evaluate and diagnose various health conditions. The type of imaging your doctor recommends will depend on the specific condition being evaluated. For example, X-ray may be sufficient to diagnose a broken bone.
